About Me

"I’m not here to impress you. I’m here to help you."

My name is Marco Ramos, and I am a New Orleans based small business coach. I’ve built companies, led teams, spoken to thousands, and sat with business owners at their lowest. I founded Ramos Leadership Co. to do one thing: help leaders get better in business, in life, and in purpose.

Being a realtor isn't just my job, it's my CALLING. As a native New Orleanian, I know the city and the uniqueness of its neighborhoods well. I was born to work with people and love every minute of it. I spent years working in restaurants and was consistently one of the nation's top sales people at a telecommunications company. After losing money on a home my husband and I purchased from a family member, I entered real estate in an effort to ensure that others never made the same mistakes that I did. I have a B.A. from the University of New Orleans with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Business management. I started in real estate in 2013 and, because of my passion to help people, quickly began to outsell many of the agents in my office. Soon it was time to spread my wings, and I started my own team in 2015. My team was consistently the top one or two teams in an office of over 500 agents. I am currently the leader of the Picolo Ramos Team of Keller Williams Realty New Orleans - one of the top real estate teams in the Greater New Orleans Area. My enthusiasm is evident in every listing and relationship. I love life, love helping people and feel lucky to have a calling that combines the two! I am also the star of the show “Selling the Big Easy” which made its debut on HGTV in 2020. The show follows me and my team as we help clients find the home of their dreams by showing them high-end properties with the right amount of history and charm.

Business Leader of Faith?

Recently I had the privilege of speaking and preaching in El Paso, Texas and Juárez, Mexico. I was the keynote speaker at a banquet of around 300 on business and ministry, sharing how the two are not meant to be separate. The reality is that most churches in America have fewer than 100 members, and most pastors are bi-vocational. That is not a problem. It is an opportunity. An opportunity to reach people where they are: in the marketplace.

At the same time, many business owners and leaders in America are Christians but do not know how to bring their faith into their business. Some even believe there should be a wall between the two, as if God made ministry sacred and business secular. That is not true.

Paul was a tentmaker. Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth, hosted the first church in Europe in her home. Peter, James, and John were fishermen. Matthew was a tax collector. Priscilla and Aquila were tentmakers. Luke was a physician. Scripture is full of men and women who lived both business and ministry. It was connected. Like Psalm 1:3 says of those planted in God’s Word and His church: “He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”

If you are a business leader of faith, you are called to produce fruit not only for yourself and your family but also for your employees, your team, your clients, customers, and community.

I became a business coach after more than a decade in business and over 12 years in ministry because I want to help people do both: deepen their faith and build extraordinary businesses. As business owners and leaders, we can impact cities and nations by doing business with excellence and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
